Place: Home Sweet Home
Dish: Portobella Beef Burger (Home-Cooked)
It was one of those days when you feel like having fast-food for dinner. McDonalds came to mind, but my better half decided something even better for dinner i.e. Portobella Beef Burger and he was going to prepare it! :-)
It took only half an hour, and when I finished my swim, dinner was already ready:-) It tasted really good, but maybe a tad salty. With carbohydrate (bun), protein (beef pattie, cheese), and fibre (tomatoes, lettuce, onions) in one serving of burger, it is a balanced meal which is relatively easy to make!
Below is a step by step instruction from the "Cook":
1. Fry the beef pattie (seasoned with black pepper & onions) in a pan. Make sure not to overcook it.
2. Put aside the beef pattie on a plate.
3. Stir- fry Portobella Mushrooms (diced) in sweet soya sauce and Italian dry herbs. Add a bit of water.
4. Serve the burger with onion rings, sliced tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. Add tomato sauce/ mustard.
Note: Do not add salt, as the beef pattie is already salty in itself.
There you go! One simple, balanced and delicious meal that you should try at home !:-)
