Dish: Sate/ Satay (Chicken, Beef, and Mutton) RM0.70 to RM1.40 per stick
It was almost 12 midnite, and a bit hungry as dinner consisted of some snacks (quarter portion of curry laksa noodle, and biscuits left from Chinese New Year). I have always just heard of people talking about "sate" Kajang, but have never tried it myself. Today, of all days, I was in the mood for "sate".
On the way to Kajang, we were lucky enough to enjoy some fireworks display, lighting up the dark sky. It was a smooth and pleasant ride as traffic was simply smooth!
The place was a big double-storey building, situated just next to the Kajang Stadium. We chose to sit on the upper floor, to enjoy the breezy night.
Our choice of "Sate" was Chicken, Beef and Mutton. "Sate" is a Malay dish. It is actually barbecued meat, served with peanut sauce, cubes of rice, and cucumber. Of all the 3 choices, my favourite was mutton "Sate" :-)
I was pretty satisfied with tonite's (or rather early morning's) supper. What better way to end the meal than with a cool watermelon juice. Burp! (Oops, excuse me!)
