Dish: Herbal Duck, Baby 'Kailan', Claypot Tofu, Steamed Cod Fish
We were going to board the bus (via Aeroline) back to KL from Vivo City Singapore, and we were treated to lunch at Dian Xiao Er that was famous for its Duck dishes, which is cooked in chinese herbal ingredients.
We ordered the restaurant's signature Herbal Duck, Claypot Tofu, Baby 'Kailan'. and Steamed Cod Fish. Loved the Herbal Duck the best. The meat is so tender and juicy, and the absence of the very strong taste that is very often present in most duck dishes (which is why duck do not rank very high on my favourite food list) makes this one of the best meat dishes that I ever tasted! I am already thinking to eat this on my return to Singapore.
We have a very nice view of Sentosa Island from the restaurant, which was just across Vivo City. I like the ambience of the restaurant too, as it brings you back in time, like dining in some traditional chinese restaurant in Taiwan/ China.
